Different Types of Contact Lenses

Ortho-K is a corneal refractive therapy (CRT) and patients suffering from myopia have to wear the gas permeable contacts while sleeping. They can be removed in the morning. This helps one get clear vision during the day without the need for corrective lenses. Orthokeratology is a recommended therapy for children who are 8-12 years old and have myopia. Ortho-K lenses are also helpful for adults with mild astigmatism and presbyopia.

Types of Power and Non-Power Lenses

Spherical, toric, multifocal and bifocal contact lenses are available in different powers that are used for correcting vision for myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism and presbyopia among others.
